GS-Tek Honors Senator Carper’s Visit

Newark, DE – U.S. Senator Carper and his four Staff and the director U.S. Commercial Service Philadelphia Office Antonia Ceballos visited GS-Tek on August 8, 2014 to learn about GS-Tek success in its international business and to meet GS-Tek employees in a town-house meeting way.

Dr. Zack Ji, the founder and president of GS-Tek, presented Senator Carper and his staff the GS-Tek history, products and its international business in an interactive way with Senator Carper. During the presentation, Senator Carper asked many questions about company startup, business operations, employee training and retaining, and governmental programs for small business assistances. Senator Carper immediately instructed his staff about future actions of contacting Federal agents for small business assistances, such as Bank services, Job creation, governmental business (GSA), Taxation and others. In the end, Senator Carper asked each GS-Tek employee why GS-Tek is successful. Senator Carper encouraged GS-Tek to continue success with hard working, employee respect, leadership, and persistence in business venture. ” Never give up”, said Senator.

During the interactive presentation, Senator Carper was glad to see the programs he initiated works for both business and ordinary citizens. These programs include Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Charter School of Wilmington, and Foreign Investment Initiatives including recent Chinese investor open plant in ex- GM automotive assembly plant in Newport, Delaware.

Mr. Ceballos presented Senator Carper USCS programs such as Gold key Service, business matching make, and Trade missions with benefits to many small business participants. He addresses his concern of continuing STEP programs with limited Federal funding.
